He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Manuelpillai and Marcillamani; his parents-in-law, Sangarapillai and Thangam; his spouse Thangaranee; his sisters, Mary Anna (late Joseph) and Teresa (late Emmanuel); his siblings-in-law, Selvarasa (late Ponmani), Singaraja (Sakuntala), Ariarani (Ariaratnam) and Nesarajah (late Vimala); his children, Sugendrini, Asokanthan, Sumathy and Malathi; his children-in-law, Subathira, Thayalan and Harold; and his grandchildren, Christine, Joshua, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Rachael, Romesh and Emmanuel.
