He was predeceased by: his son Doug; his parents, William Edmonstone and Muriel Edmonstone (Bannister); and his brother Stuart. He is survived by: his brother Barry of Creston, B. C.; and his sister-in-law Evelyn Edmonstone of Owen Sound. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
