He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Catherine; and his former wife Joy. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Carol Tompkins (Dick), Jonathon Recchia (Irene), Holly Recchia (Martin Darveau) and Carleigh McCannell; his grandchildren, Liliana, Park, Alexandra, Katherine, Samuel, Arya, Lucie, Dax and Laya; his brother Leo; his nieces, Melinda and Amber; his former wife Betty Anne Keller; and his friends, Fridays, Jim, Darren and Chris. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
