He is survived by: his wife Elaine Mitchell (Seip); his sons, Jason (Vicki), John, Tim (Janice) and James (Cheri); his grandchildren, Colin, Owen, Hayden, Nicolas and Mariah; and his sisters, Elinor Murdoch (Russ) and Helen Mitchell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
