He was predeceased by: his former wife June Hickey; his parents, Reginald Hickey and Marie Hickey; his sisters, Fran Hofer (Nelson) and Pat Genovese; and his brothers-in-law, William Dunnigan, Nicholas Genoveses and Robert Haller.

He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Hickey; his children, Darrell Hickey, Marilyn Rayner (Robert), Janet Rogers (Brian) and Penny Henderson; and his siblings, Lawrence Hickey, Margaret Dunnigan and Kath Haller (Robert). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
