He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Samms; his parents, Annie Samms and William Samms; and his granddaughter Emma. He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Linseman and Laurie Wohlgemut; his grandsons, Adam Linseman, Brandon and Ryan Wohlgemut; his great grandchildren, Ethan and Parker; and his sisters, Madge and Alice (Donny).
