She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Earl W. Schmidt of Waterloo; her sibling Germany; her sons, Chris Betker (Elisabeth) and Achim Betker (Rebecca); her stepchildren, Gordon Schmidt (Janet), Kenneth Schmidt (Aline) and Marlene Snook (Keith); and her parent Germany. She was also cherished by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.
