He was predeceased by: his former wife Carolyn Remus (Zalman); his parents, Gustav Remus and Wilhelmina Remus; his siblings, Leonhardt, Adoline Seidler, Preputin, Edna, Vor and Lydia Marten; and his nieces, Lenora Lou Remus and Lynne Remus.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Croft; his daughter Elise Burns (Allan Sweeney); his grandchildren, Laurie (Carlo Condarcuri) and Joseph Burns; his son Justin; and his nieces and nephews, Leon Remus, Sharon (Frampton), Clark Marten, Nadeen Kovanda, Faye Johnson, Robert Seidler, Betty MerryLees and Gail Morhardt.
