It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Hulme of Waterloo, Ontario, who passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Gene may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his brother Tony. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hulme; his children, Kevin (Kaitlyn) and Jennifer (Trevor); and his grandchildren, Tegan, Thomas and Brody. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre (21 First St, Orangeville, ON L9W2C8). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
