He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cyril Hayes and Frances Hayes; his siblings, Allan and Margaret (Rieder); his wife Florence (Swayze); his sons, Allan (Elizabeth) and Geoffrey (Donna); and his grandchildren, Natalie (Kyle), Jamie (Ashley), Christopher and Laura.
