The memory of Ernie M. Metzger in Waterloo, Ontario, who passed away on November 9, 2024 at the age of 79, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Nancy (Martin); his brothers, Vernon, Stanley, John and Emanuel; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy, Rosemarie, Alice, Nelson and Curtis.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Metzger (Yoder); his children, Sheila, Brian, Kevin and Tara; his grandchildren, Kayla, Nathan, Alayna, Emily, Amy, Adam and Isabella; his great grandchild Klara; and his sisters, Vera Martin, Rebecca Cressman, Erma (Ken Baker), Marie (Ernie Fretz), Marlene (Murray Baker) and Doris Metzger (Mary Metzger). He is also survived by his family, friends.
He bowled every week for decades in various leagues and eventually formed his own league at Victoria Bowl before the pandemic struck.
