He was predeceased by: his parents, David Mathies and Anna Mathies; his parents-in-law, Del and Vernice Schreier; and his brother Helmut.
He is survived by: his wife Ginny (Virginia Schreier); his sister-in-law Nell Mathies; his niece Rebecca Peters (John); his nephew Drew Mathies (Nancy); his sister-in-law Anne Timmel; his niece Becki Schreier; and his cousin Ron Mathies (Gudrun). He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
Because of Covid restrictions no visitation or memorial service will take place.
