He was predeceased by: his wife Vera; his parents, Edwin Hackbart and Hilda; and his siblings, Fred, Walter, Wilfred, Clayton, Vera Fischer, Florence Schmidt and Mildred Lantz.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas (Marilyn) and Sandra (Grant); his grandchildren, Julie, Christine (Joseph), Robert, Chad and Todd (Stephanie); his great grandchildren, Alexander and Maximus; and his sister-in-law Margaret.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo.
