He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Martin and Melinda Martin; and his sisters, Mary Lynn Farnham and Ruth Martin. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Aaron (Stephanie) and Erik (Katie); his grandchildren, Graycen and Naomi; his siblings, Henry Martin (Marcia), Anne Koch (Leonard), Jim Martin and Karen Schlueter (Mike); and his siblings-in-law, Mac Zurbrigg (Jill), Michael Zurbrigg (Jane), Teresa Walton (Walt), Amy Barlow (Norman) and Arden Cole (Ron). He is also survived by Uncle Al will be missed by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Grand River Hospital Oncology or to a charity of choice.
