It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan McLean Smart (Waterloo, Ontario), who passed away on May 27, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his spouse Trisha; his children, Hazel Smart of Waterloo, Brigitte Zaric-Smart of Switzerland, Heather Smart-Shewfelt of Kincardine and Ian Smart of Burlington; his grandchildren, Nanouchka Zaric of Switzerland, Sadie Shewfelt and Elsie Shewfelt of Kincardine; and his sibling Hilda Birse of Etobicoke.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Port Nelson Church (Burlington) or the Wellness Centre of Burlington.
