He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hartnell and Esther Hartnell (Wensley) of Blue Township; his siblings, Lloyd, Gerald and Ruth; and his children-in-law, David Mels and Charlene Vandeweil Hartnell.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Elizabeth Mels, Keith (Donna) and Steven; his grandchildren, David (Carla), Sarah (Matthew), Laura (Nick), Megan (Yvan), Asha and Raina; his great grandchildren, Lauren, Rachel, Alice, Hayden, Ryder and Kaydi; his brother Dr. Bert Hartnell (Elizabeth); and his sisters-in-law, Mona Hartnell and Laretta Hartnell.
As expressions of sympathy those wishing to donate in Raymond's memory may donate to Waterford Heritage Trail, or Lynn Valley Trail.
