He was predeceased by: his mother Stelco'; his wife Joanne; his grandson Steven; and his siblings, Annie, Henk and Angela.

He is survived by: his children, Rick (Tina), Karen (Gordon Troughton), Jim (Tina), Denise (Danny Danis) and Kim (John Shalay); his grandchildren, Andrew (Alana), Tiffany Plas, Emma, Bethany (Dru Douglas), Erin Troughton, Johnathon Plas, Patrick (Kathryn), Micheal Bodnar (Bethany), Danis (Ashley), Lisa (Jeff Wheeler), Gregory (Heather) and Logan Shalay (Sidney); and also, Donna Bishop (Steven Keith), James Bishop (Julie), Dylan, Audrey Keith, Hudson and Brooke Bishop. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to Project Harvest.
