He was predeceased by: his wife Mary (Simmons). He is survived by: his children, John (Deanna) and Ann Mathews (Doug); his grandchildren, Chris Mathews (Lyndsey), Julie Ianiero (Rae), Rhyse and Micah; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Nelles.
As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to Canadian Diabetes Association.
