He was predeceased by: his parents, Blake and Enid; and his sisters, Eva and Janet. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley (Buck); his children, Sharon, Don McDonald, Sherwood, Shelley Lefler, Heather, Richard Rebuk, Heidi and Paul Jarrett; his grandchildren, Jay, Theresa McDonald, Cassandra, Jeremy Peace-Hall, Braden, Amber Lefler, Tristan, Katie Lefler, Jaron, Robin Lefler, Shaina Lefler, Rhianna Lefler, Jorge, Caleb Rebuk, Stephanie and Hannah Rebuk; his great grandchildren, Samson, Roxanne, Cameron, Keara, Luke, Eli, John, Forrest, Harriet, Jaxson and Maverick; his siblings, Malcolm and Norma Jean Tisdale (Jed); and his brother-in-law Leslie Westbrook.
