As Betty departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Betty. Though Betty may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband Douglas Noel Murton; her parents, William Hammond and Minerva Hammond; and her siblings, Doris Landon (Alex) and Douglas.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Marissa of Vancouver, BC and Eddie (Amanda); and her great grandchild Bentley of Forest Home, NS. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Thompson-Mott Funeral Home Chapel (62 Main St N, Waterford, ON N0E1Y0).
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Betty are asked to consider the Alzheimer's Society or the Ontario Horticultural Association (OHA).
