He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Welton and Doris Welton. He is survived by: his spouse Alicja (Wojciechowski); his daughters, Jessica Jug (late Jeff) and Stephanie Zwierschke (Matthew); his grandchildren, Jayden, Jayce, Xander and Harley; his great grandchild Oaklynn; and his siblings, Patty Young (Paul) and Brian (Maralee). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Norfolk Haldimand Hospice.
