She was predeceased by: her parents, Ciro and Margarita; her siblings, Beatriz, Doroteo, Rogelio and Valois; and her nephew Ciro.

She is survived by: her husband Victor Manuel Herrera; her son-in-law Jose Andres Vergara; her grandchildren, Adriana Desiree Vergara-Herrera and Julian Andres Vergara-Herrera; her sister Lola Lopez; her brother-in-law Dieter Bauer; her niece Ingrid; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Kieran, Eloise, Andreas and Anika; and her brothers, Celmiro Lopez (Angela), Jose Enrique Lopez and Jose Luis Lopez. She is also survived by her friends, extended family.

If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
