He was predeceased by: his wife Diane; and his parents, Harry Bowler and Patricia Bowler. He is survived by: his children, Gail Schellenberg (John) and Mark Bowler (Lori); his grandchildren, Jaynie, Hope, Joyclyn, Camryn, Joel, Tyler (Rachelle), Danyelle (Brandon) and Brayden; his great grandchildren, Kaine and Braxton; and his sister Ellen Currie (Al). He is also survived by friends and extended family.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Lisaard House, Cambridge in John's memory.
