She was predeceased by: her husbands, George Hooey and David William Castledine; and her parents, Piet Vuure and Jantina Van Vuure. She is survived by: her sister Niesha Gooding; her children, Charles VanVuure Hooey (Elizabeth), Tina Hooey-Gelhard (Roland), Dianna Brooks (Gary) and Cheryl Near (late Earl); and her grandsons, Jason Hooey, Jake Gelhard and Matthew Gelhard.
