He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Rankin and Winnifred Rankin of Waterdown, Ontario.; his wife Debbie; his children, Stewart (Penny), Carrie, Emily (Kyle) and Michael; his grandchildren, John (Morgan), Carolyn (Jon), Allison (Juan Pablo), Mario, Danielle (David) and Sofia; his great grandchildren, Mila, Briella and Ryan; his sisters, Phyllis Hunter and Ann Robbins; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn and Michael Reilly. He was also cherished by his many nieces and nephews.
