He was predeceased by: his sibling Dwight Smith; and his nephew Warren Shea. He is survived by: his husband Brenda; his children, Richard Smith (Bonnie Ford) and Andrea Smith (Regan Trolley); his grandchildren, Mitchel Trolley, Justin and Ashley Phillips; his great grandchildren, Marceline Trolley and Divonne Phillips; his sibling Reta Smith (Ed Main); his mother-in-law Myrtle Hallman; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Hallman and Carolyn Shea.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation for Campbell House or Emmanuel Bible College would be appreciated by John's family.
