He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Atkinson and JoAnn Atkinson. He is survived by: his wife Karen Atkinson; his grandsons, Oliver, Owen, Joel and Elijah; his siblings, Janet Elgie (Eldon), Brian (Suzanne), Mary Hewgill (Paul), Pauline McMillan (Gord) and John; and his mother-in-law Joyce Clancy. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
