He was predeceased by: his siblings, Bob Hanna (late Ida), Bill Hanna (Maxine), Chuck Hanna, Helen Lusch (late Ed) and Alice Steadman (late Stuart); and his parents, Robert Hanna and Helen.

He is survived by: his wife Eileen; his children, Jane Rumig (Don) of St. Jacobs, Dennis Hanna of Cambridge, Doug Hanna (Jeannette) of Kitchener and Randy Hanna of Wardsville; his grandchildren, Donald, Brandon, Angela, Melinda, Jimmy, Teri-Lynn, Tiffanie (Ryan) and Rachel (Dave); his great grandchildren, Brandy, Bree, Austin, Brice, Caiden, Calisi, Lilly and Braeden; and his brother Herb Hanna (Rosaline) of Waterloo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
