She was predeceased by: her parents, Avelino Goncalves De Assuncao and Maria Rosa; her brother Julio Oliveira Assuncao; and her father-in-law Manuel Antunes. She is survived by: her spouse Americo Antunes; her children, Michael Antunes and Nancy Antunes (Ian MacLeod); her grandson Isaac Michael Antunes; her siblings, Maria Assuncao Gomes, Florinda Costa and Manuel Assuncao; her mother-in-law Jesuvina Antunes; and her godparents, Americo Goncalves Assuncao and Ana Oliveira Assuncao. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to London Regional Cancer Program or Canadian Cancer Society (cheques mailed to the Funeral Home).
