He was predeceased by: his grandparents, David Sr., Bella Saulteaux, Elizabeth Goodelk, Joe Jack and George Prettyshield; his parents, David Saulteaux and Jessie Saulteaux; his siblings, Marita Hotomani, Helen Saulteaux, Roy Saulteaux, Alvin Saulteaux, Arnold Saulteaux, Edith Saulteaux and Gordon Saulteaux; and his pet Chief Jacobs-Saulteaux.

He is survived by: his wife Gayleen Jacobs-Saulteaux; his children, Bonnie Nylander (Derek), Darla Saulteaux of White City, SK, Frank Saulteaux (Tyra), Kyle Saulteaux (Kim), Nadine Shuman (Rick), Fort St John and Dawn Martins (Antero); and his siblings, Aletha Whitefeather of Carry, Myrtle Hassler of Carry, Doreen Saulteaux of Carry, Ross Saulteaux of Carry, Laverne Jacobs (Lynn) of Walpole Island, Alan Jacobs (Bernita) of Walpole Island, Ralph Jacobs (Marguerite) of Walpole Island and Elaine Jacobs of Walpole Island. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews that held a special place in his heart and his many family and friends.
