He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Hewer and Myrle Hewer; and his spouse Shelley Hewer. He is survived by: his sons, Roger Jr. Hewer (Michelle Stuebing) and Tommy Hewer (Rebecca). He is also survived by four grandchildren.
Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
