He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Christiaens and Natalie Christiaens (DeMoor); his wife Anna Christiaens (Van Craenenbroek); and his brothers, Frank and George.
He is survived by: his children, Virginia Whitmarsh (Paul), Roger Christiaens (Dorothy) and Marcel Christiaens (Denise); his grandchildren, Alan, Scott, Lisa, Michael and Devon; his great grandchildren, Brandy, Ashley, Aiden, Kathleen, Layne and Cooper; his great great grandchildren, Berlin and Sophia; and his brothers-in-law, William Van Mechelen and Roger Van Craenenbroek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
