He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harris and Sarah Harris (Hiller); his former wife Ada (Fox); the father of his child Patrick; his brother Maurice "Keith"; and his in-laws, William "Bill", Teresa, Eileen Weaver, Stewart, John "Leslie", Anne, Albert "Ross", Mary Eleanor, Louise Blake, George, Lyle, June and Justin Melbourne "Glen".

He is survived by: his wife Kay Harris; his children, Christine Marshall (Mark Colwell) and Jonathan Marshall (Cherish); his grandchildren, Aiden, Alicia, David, Daniel and Benjamen; his sisters-in-law, Mary and Lorna "Dianne"; and his close friend Ruby.
