She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Mel and Annie Mel (Pardon); her spouse Joseph "Joe" Van Linden; and her siblings, Madeline Ebear, Anna Gaul, John Mel and Jean Mel.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Wombwell of London, Patricia Fox of Colorado, Vicki Van Linden of London and Louis Van Linden of Wallaceburg; her grandchildren, Renée, Jason, Laura and Julia; her great grandchildren, Blake, Harlie, Amelia and Jackson; and her sibling Dorothy Castaldi. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
