With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joanne DeBruyn of Wallaceburg, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 2, 2025 at the age of 65. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joanne DeBruyn to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Asseldonk and Frances Van Asseldonk (VanArkel); her granddaughter Ashley; and her sister Annette Van Asseldonk. She is survived by: her husband John DeBruyn; her daughters, Annette Barcroft (Greg), Nicole Vella and Catherine DeBruyn (Arty); her grandchildren, Mitchell, Charlotte, Adrianna, Jemma, Katelynn and Greyson; and her siblings, Tony Van Asseldonk (Joan), Maria Kerr (Rick), Bernie Taylor (Harley), Lawrence Van Asseldonk, Robert Van Asseldonk (Kelly) and Linda Salisbury (Jim). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. (639 Elgin St, Wallaceburg, ON N8A3C6).
As an expression of sympathy, donations to Chatham-Kent Hospice may be left at the funeral home.
