He was predeceased by: his wife Geertrudis Wessels-Raats (Truus). He is survived by: his parents, Henderikus P. Wessels and Catharina Wagemaker; his sister Nel Gouwenberg (Nic); his sisters-in-law, Tiny Wessels and Ans Raats; his cousins, Bep Klaver and Mary Koopman; his spouse Truus Raats; and also Wallaceburg. He is also survived by 53 nieces and nephews.
