He was predeceased by: his siblings, Cleta Hoffarth (Leo), Mary Poechman (Harold), Stella Rich and Leonard Zettler; his brothers-in-law, Walter Schnurr and Raymond Schmidt; and his parents, Peter Zettler and Agnes Zettler.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his stepchildren, Marjorie Batte (Joseph) of Riversdale, Shirley Mullen (Stephen) of Walkerton and Dave Kleist (Angela) of Walkerton; his siblings, Teresa Schnurr of Walkerton, Vera Schmidt of Walkerton, Helen Zettler of Walkerton, Francis Zettler (Eugenia) of Walkerton, Sister Lois Zettler, Waterdown, Jerome Zettler (Sandi) of Hanover and Denis Zettler (Jan) of Wallacetown; his siblings-in-law, Edna Zettler of Hanover and Jim Rich of Formosa; and also, Brittany (Kenny), Mitchell (Shelby), Jeffrey (Agnieszka), Lindsay (Ryan), Laura (Matthew), Gregory (Angela), Timothy (Emily) and Jessica (Tim). He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
