He was predeceased by: his brother Mike; and his parents, Ray Hinsperger and Norma Hinsperger. He is survived by: his wife Wanda; his children, Andrea Verwer (Jake) of Ingersoll and Noelle (Mike Keip) of Walkerton; his grandchildren, Eli, Gabe and Dawson; his siblings, Sharon Whaling (Kevon) of Walkerton, Stan (Kathy) of Walkerton, Celeste Monk (Vern) of Owen Sound, Wayne (Chris) of Embro and Darlene Meyer (Ken) of Kitchener; and his sister-in-law Mary Hinsperger of Harriston.
