He was predeceased by: his sister Kathy Winfield; his parents-in-law, Vernon Dickert and Valera Dickert; and his parents, Milton Cherrey and Maretta MacLean.
He is survived by: his spouse Diane; his children, Danielle Garvey (Ambrose) of Neustadt, Deanna Cherrey (Richard Martin) of Walkerton and James Todtz (Tina) of Walkerton; his grandchildren, Hailey, Emma, Joshua, Jelena, Brittney, Rozlyn, Ashley, Samantha, Chris and Connor; his great grandchild Adam; his siblings, Raymond Cherrey (Ruby) of Hanover, Bonnie Simpson of Cambridge, Lynda (Greg), Talbot of Durham, Mike, Jack (Corinna) and Dan Tasker; and his sibling-in-law Carl Winfield of New Hamburg.
Memorial donations to St. Mary's Hospital – Cardiac Unit or Pet Rescue would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
