He was predeceased by: his brothers, Maurice and Andrew; his brother-in-law Harvey Kleist; and his parents, Albin Spitzig and Clara Spitzig.
He is survived by: his spouse Florence Spitzig; his children, Peter (Cathy) of Walkerton, Paul of Walkerton, Bill (Rita) of Waterloo, Tom (Darlene) of Walkerton, Susan Steffler (Joe) of Kearney, Jim (Nancy) of Walkerton, John (Rosie) of Walkerton, Dave (Cathy) of Walkerton and Sharon Johnson (Darryl) of Walkerton; his siblings, Cyril (Bea) of Chepstow, Dorothy Zettler (Walter) of Walkerton, Joe (Mary) of Walkerton, Norbert (Carol) of Mildmay and Earl (Chris) of Formosa; and his siblings-in-law, Elaine Spitzig and Marilyn Spitzig. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
