He was predeceased by: his parents, John McGowan and Mairiam McGowan (Grieve); and his sister Betty Dubé. He is survived by: his wife Jan Briggs-McGowan; his grandchildren, Alex Bellhouse, John Bellhouse, Samantha Whittle, Katie Whittle, Katlyn McGowan and Kristopher McGowan; and his friends, Ken Paradine, Barb Woolman and Dave Armstrong.
