He was predeceased by: his brother Larry; his parents, Dr. Reg and Isabel; his parents-in-law, Kevin and Rita McGlynn; his nephew Shawn Seigmiller; and his pet Coco.

He is survived by: his wife Jane; his children, Josh and Terri (Keith); his grandchildren, Kylin and Zoe; his siblings, Bill (Carol), Tom, Dave and Peg (Bill); his sisters-in-law, Lynda (Dave) and Sandra (Rick); and his friends, Lulus and Dirt Pig.
