He was predeceased by: his daughter Tammy Vandebor; his granddaughters, Leah Vandenbor and Tavira Harford; his children-in-law, Dale Wood, Howard Allen and Diane Catto; his brother Wynand Vandebor (Van); his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Vandenbor, Jackie Butler and Quinto Bianco; and his parents, Cornelis Vandenbor and Wynitje Vandenbor.

He is survived by: his children, Connie Lemont (Jim) of Mildmay, Christine Allen of Hanover, John Vandenbor (Barb) of Walkerton, Dan Vandebor of Paisley, Ruth MacDonald (Rod) of Point Clark, Kim Paquin (Paul) of Kitchener and Marilyn Vandebor-Hanes (Brian) of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Sherife, Michael, Tammy, Howie, Jared, Dallas, Nathan, Aaron, Joseph, Dustin, Elisha, Devin, Christian, Cody and Alina; and his siblings, Alie Ramsey of Woodbridge, Cor Vandenbor of Dundas, Nelly Bianco of Brampton and Willy Idzerda (Peter) of Brampton. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
