Isobel Loraine Kuepfer Obituary
Isobel Kuepfer (McCowan) passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Thursday May 25, 2023 after a short battle with cancer.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Allan, in 2020. Loving mother of Karen, (predeceased in 1971 at the age of 2), Kevin (Christina) Kuepfer and Robert (Shannon) Kuepfer. Caring Grandmother of Tyler (April), Abigail and Gracie Kuepfer; Leah and Alex Kuepfer. Isobel will be remembered by her siblings Jean (Laverne) Flynn, Ken (Arlene) McCowan, and John (Heather) McCowan; brother and sister in-laws Margaret Kuepfer, Elsie (Laverne) Martin, Mary Kuepfer, Enos and Doris Kipfer, Edna Lahmann, Katie (Richard) Troyer, Lorne (Grace) Kuepfer, and Freida (Irvin) Huber. Predeceased by brothers-in-law Jacob, Levi, Henry, Ivan Kuepfer and Fred Lahmann.
Isobel was born on November 9, 1944 the eldest of four children of the late Kenneth and Kathlyne (Mustard) McCowan. She was raised on the family farm near Brucefield, ON. During their 52 years of marriage, Allan and Isobel resided in Walkerton, Hanover, Wingham and Waterloo Region and were active members of various churches, most recently, First Baptist Church and volunteered with the Gideons International. Isobel's homemaking skills were lovingly shared with her own children and grandchildren as well as in long-term care residences and home care. Isobel lived out the biblical command to "love your neighbour" and used her beautiful smile and loving personality to warm the hearts of those who she interacted with.

Isobel's family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue from 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at First Baptist Church, 306 Erb St. W. Waterloo with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:30 p.m. Interment at Elmira Union Cemetery.
