He was predeceased by: his wife Rita "Lois"; his daughter Mary (Adele); his siblings, Jack and Margaret Bernard (Fred); and his parents, Thomas O'Gorman and Violet O'Gorman.

He is survived by: his children, Brad and Ingrid of South River; his child-in-law Charlie Schmalz of Southampton; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Rob), Emily (Jeff), Tyler Hilary (Jenna) and Samantha (Clare); and his sister-in-law Pauline O'Gorman of Beamsville.
