Lamar Frederick Fretz Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lamar Frederick Fretz (Wainfleet, Ontario), who passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Sr. Fretz and Elva Fretz; his wife Anna Mae Sider; and his great grandchild Madelyn Ioannoni. He is survived by: his children, Heather Ioannoni (Bruno) and Terry Fretz (Denette); his grandchildren, Carlo Ioannoni (Catharine), Sara Ioannoni, Hannah Song (Cole) and Jesse Fretz; his siblings, Kaye Steckley, Howard Fretz Jr., Hubert Fretz (Bev) and Ken Fretz (Jill); his sisters-in-law, Mary Fretz, Ruth Schiedel (Wayne), Sharon McCombs (Roy) and Lillian Byer Douglas Sherk (Nelson); his caregiver Alison; and also, Miriam (Paul), Alvin Steckley, Jean Fretz, Lester Fretz, Leroy Fretz and Margie Fretz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wainfleet Be in Christ Church (53007 Perry Rd, Wainfleet, ON L0S1V0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations to the Mennonite Central Committee (mcc.org) would be appreciated.
