He was predeceased by: his parents, Molle Jacop and Anigje Sierdsma; his grandson Andrew; his great grandchild Zachary; and his siblings-in-law, Tine, Hilda, Jelle, Roelof, Diedert and Piet.
He is survived by: his children, Marc (Kim), Walter (Carolyn), Martha Plath (Ben), Ron (Sherry) and George (Sylvia); his siblings, Jaap Sierdsma and Elly DeJong (John); his siblings-in-law, Sienne Mink (Andy), Meine Schilstra (Geeske) and Zus Wesselius; and his friend Vikki Thomson. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
