She was predeceased by: her parents, John Baerg and Mary Baerg; and her siblings, Ben, Alma, Elsie, Justine, Edwin, Mary, Peter, Helen and Cathleen.

She is survived by: her husband William Schmidt (Bill); her children, Marlene Herb (Jon), David Schmidt (Susan) and Wayne Schmidt (Dawn); her grandchildren, Jonathan Herb, Bethany Herb (Robert Montgomery), Benjamin Schmidt (Christine), Jacob Schmidt (Kayla) and Lisa Wilsdon (Ian); her great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Joseph, Anna, Nellie, Adelaide (Addie), Natalie (Alie), Arielle, Maverick, Naomi and Molly; her siblings, Jacob Baerg, Carole Baerg and Marjorie Beecroft (Ron); and her sister-in-law Muriel Baerg. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
