He was predeceased by: his spouse Joan; and his child Maggie Keaveney (Paul). He is survived by: his children, Jim (Marli), Terry (Lori Berberich), Senga Slaven (Colin McDowell) and Mike (Gail); his grandchildren, Michelle, Stephanie, Michael, Evan and Brandy; and his sibling Mary Best. He is also survived by great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
