He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Evelyn; his children, Michael (Gail), Brian (Debbie), David (Caroline) and Elizabeth Martinez (Robert); his parents, Michal Martiniak and Dorata (Comecky); and his siblings, Anne (Chester), Joseph (Irene) and Mary (Steve). He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
